Marc Atiyolil was born to build, renovate & design.

As Editor-in-Chief of Canadian Home Trends – Canada’s Home Décor & Lifestyle Magazine, and the author of the nationally syndicated column, Home Trends, Marc has the opportunity to interview celebrity designers and see firsthand many beautifully designed Canadian spaces and showcase them in the highly respected home décor and lifestyle publication.

As a DIY for the past decade, Marc found that getting his hands dirty gave him experience and insight into the design process and an understanding of how and why certain things are done the way they are, and how easy (or difficult) it can be to make certain changes to a space.

As a designer, Marc appreciates traditional design, although his tastes run more towards modern and contemporary trends. That allows him to blend, mix and match, or create a complete home makeover that far exceeds the homeowner’s expectations.

Whether it was the renovation experience, pure genetics, or a combination of both, Marc has a natural affinity for design. He not only enjoys the work, but also likes to encourage others to expand their knowledge in all aspects of design.
